In a span of three years, Indonesia displayed an almost 30% increase in digital shoppers boosting the e-commerce space with significant growth. This proves that the pace of development in the country shows no sign of slowing down.

The country’s mobile-first nature, skipping personal computers, gives extent to a lot of possibilities for innovation, especially for the younger generation. In fact, more than half of Indonesia’s 264 million population – the largest among ASEAN countries – belongs to tech-savvy and digital-native ages.

How do businesses take the lead to this upward trajectory?

Rockbird Media, an international event company, convenes the country’s top 100 organizations’ C-level decision-makers to discuss this growing opportunity with a common goal in mind — Indonesia will have the biggest digital economy among its peers by 2025.

Exclusive discussions will be facilitated by several accomplished industry leaders namely Faisal Yahya, Cybersecurity Strategist at CIO50 2019, Hassan Karim, President Director at Zurich Insurance, Mayank Singh, Head of Digital Technology & Marketing Departments at Domino’s Pizza, Ramdan Pradarma, Vice President – Airport Services at PT Angkasa Pura l (Persero), Christian Angkasa, SVP – Analytics & Decision Making at Bank OCBC NISP, Ramadhanny Herlambang, Chief Technology Officer for Technology Business at Sinarmas Land, Muhammad Suhada, GM IT Development, Head of Tech and Development at Blue Bird Group, and Muhammad Neil El Himam, Director for ICT Infrastructure at Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy.

“Since we started gathering C-level executives in the fields of digital transformation and IT security across the SEA region, what I’ve personally noticed is that the discussions never get repetitive. Each year, there are new challenges that need to be addressed,” Leo Empuerto, Rockbird Media’s Managing Director, said.

Rockbird Media has been creating events that help organizations connect, engage, and evolve in the ever-changing global business landscape. Its portfolio caters to the fields of digital transformation, human resources, and IT security — more specific topics include digital transformation in clinical trials and human resources in life sciences.

Rockbird Media’s roundtable format composed of 15-20 C-level executives discussing challenges and innovations in digital transformation and cybersecurity

“The discussions in different countries vary depending on their digital-readiness and maturity,” Empuerto expounded. “For example, the meetings we’ve had in Singapore have touched on more advanced technological topics in comparison with the ones we’ve had in the Philippines wherein filling in the digital gap is the priority.”

The executive meeting will have roundtable discussions on Big Data & Analytics, AI & Machine Learning, the Internet of Things, Cloud and Mobile Technology, and Cybersecurity.

Leading tech companies Fortinet, Nutanix, Menlo Security, and Deltadata will be sponsoring the meeting. The 5th edition of Digital Transformation Asia: Indonesia 2020 with the theme “Harnessing the power of transformation to drive growth” will be held at Grand Hyatt Jakarta on April 14, 2020. The same executive meeting will also be held in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. For reservations and partnership opportunities, you may email
